HELLO FRESH | RECIPES

If some of y'all peeped my InstaStory (click here to add me) about 2 weeks ago, you probably remember Devon going in for his 2nd knee surgery.... So for the last two weeks, plus a pretty big snow (for our area) we've been cooped up in the house, which inevitably means no chance of anything but a home cooked meal.
Personally, I looove to meal plan and then head to the grocery store, grab ingredients and then cook a big dinner and sit around the table and talk over food but lately, with Devon laid up in bed and an almost three year old pinging off of the walls, I couldn't find time to head to the store (if it was even open after that snow) so I started thinking about alternatives.... Something that would be easy for us right now but also dinner ideas that would be easy after our little dude is born - cue HelloFresh🍴

What is Hello Fresh?
It's a delivery service that offers meal plans for families in size of 2-4, offering both meat and vegetarian options that are customized to you and your family's needs. Oh, you have tough little eaters to please? Don't worry - HelloFresh has a Family Plan that includes custom meals for picky eaters too :)

How does this service work?
So. EASY. Almost too easy, honestly. Head to HelloFresh, pick the meal plan that best suits your family, pick how many meals you want with the plan and then pick the specific date of delivery. That's it!
If you want to update your subscription, pause it, cancel it -ANYTHING - you have everything you need within your reach. No hassle, no questions. That's the best part about this service. It's completely custom to you and your family's needs and wants.

What do you need to make a meal?
N o t h i n g.
Your meal will come with every thing you would need in order to make each separate meal. This is my favorite part of the service because truthfully, even though I'm a total foodie and love to cook, I HATE when I'm all set on a meal and go to prep it, only to find out that I'm missing a main ingredient... and it's always something like vinegar or the like that I forget to buy when I'm out but always need when I'm trying to cook a good meal we're craving. With this service, they will provide everything you'll use so no need to question what's laying around your pantry anymore.

Personally, I found the prices to be totally reasonable and the amount of food you receive is perfect for the size of family you're trying to feed. Our first meal, the Crispy Shrimp Tacos, totally filled all of us up - including Penelope!
This is the part that shocked me the most because with services like this, it can sometimes be tough to find meals that offer adequate portions in order to equally fill everybody but HelloFresh left us stuffed.

This was the final result for our very first meal with HF and it was too good! I love that they gave us a recipe book with step-by-step directions so we can make this meal anytime we're feeling' it.

For first-time customers, use code HELLOTBP for $30 off of your first box :)
