I've tried every BB Cream and tinted moisturizer under the sun - literally - and this moisturizer & BB Cream combo are my absolute favorites.. and they are perfect for the summer months because their staying power is amazing and they don't have the typical melt-on-your-face problem, which clearly no one would be a fan of. These two products are light, creamy and actually cover and  easily blend imperfections away without feeling super heavy and cake-like AND they offer SPF sooooo these are basically perfect in every aspect. Nightly Routine x

Here are all of the products I use, in the order I use them in:

MACs Green Gel Cleanser. I have super sensitive skin and this doesn't dry out my face at all. Despite the price, it lasts a really long time & I use this cleanser in the morning and at night.

MACs Gentle Off Eye Makeup Remover

This stuff takes off absolutely everything- from red lipstick to waterproof mascara and you don't have to scrub your face to get it to work.. Gently wipe away whatever you need to be gone.

Josie Maran Argan Oil 1.7oz

I can't say enough about this stuff! I was told once by an esthetician that this product would clog my pores so bad and make my already oily skin even worse. Good news - she was so wrong. I had already purchased the bottle and I was determined to make it work for me and for the past 6 months and two bottles later (first bottle was a .5oz), I'm still so happy with how this makes my skin look and feel. You CAN'T go wrong buying this - oily or dry skin!! FYI- I have extremely sensitive, oily skin and I'm acne prone and this hasn't caused my skin a single problem! A little goes a looooong way! Plus, I truly believe that it's helped tone down some of my redness.. Completely worth the money in my opinion. Purchased @ Sephora.

I reviewed this in a previous blog and I've been using it every single day since. Under eye perfection.

LUSHs Mint Julips Lip Scrub

I apply this with a little bit of water or coconut oil after I've done my whole routine. I just lick my lips clean once I've scrubbed them and I'll brush away the excess with my finger. This makes all the difference in the world with my lips and I wouldn't dare wear lipstick (especially red for the holiday season) without having used this within the past day or so. It makes your lips plump and flawless <3

Last but not least:

Rosebuds Strawberry Lip Balm

I use this EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT before bed and of course I use it throughout the day. I can't sleep without moisturizing my lips before sleep and this has been my go-to for awhile now. It smells delicious  too! Purchased @ Sephora!

Perfect Winter-Time DIY Body Butter recipe!!!!

     This body butter is so easy to make but I had to go to two different stores, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, to get the two ingredients that this body butter contains: Coconut oil and Shea Butter - That's it!!!! Here's how I make it:

1. Scoop the Shea Butter into a pot on the stove over low heat - stir until completely melted. (Remember: Coconut Oil and Shea Butter have super low heating points so you only need minimal heat to get the job done.)
2. Once the Shea Butter has melted, scoop the coconut oil into the pot with the melted Shea butter and continue to stir until that's completely melted. *You can put the coconut oil in the microwave to help soften it if it's a little tough to get out.
3. Once everything has melted and blended together, remove from stovetop and start filling the Coconut Oil jar back up, along with any other jars, with the new blend and set inside the refrigerator with the tops off so it hardens faster.
4. Once it's a solid again, you're ready to use it!

In Whole Foods, you scoop the amount of Shea Butter
into this little container and they weigh it and
price it. Just scoop as much as you want
to use.. I probably bought 3/4 cup of Shea Butter for this body butter.

***I chose Trader Joe's Coconut Oil over all of the other brands because TJ's has the distinct coconut smell and all others seem to be odorless and although they work the exact same, I prefer the beachy/coconut smell. Also, the Shea Butter has it's own smell but once it's mixed and melted with the coconut oil, all you can smell is the coconut... delicious!!!

MAC Lippies💋

     How amazing are these colors?! I always end up buying a nude-ish lip color and a bright lip color - never fails! The Pink one is called Impassioned and the nude is called Honey Love. You can NEVER go wrong with a MAC lipstick.. Ever! You have to try these, they last through anything!

Moroccan Oil Hair-Care Dupe!

     Here's a had-to-share moment! I adore Moroccan Oil shampoo and conditioner along with a lot of their other products, but as you know, if you've purchased Moroccan Products before, they aren't the cheapest shampoo/conditioner ever made so that's what made this beauty find one of the best finds yet! I was in ULTA and came across these babies:

ULTA find! "One 'N Only"

      They smell almost IDENTICAL to MO products and they work just the same! Not only do they work well and smell good but One 'N Only brand is also sulfate, phosphate, paraben FREE and made in the USA :) They are also price-friendly as well at just $11.99 per 12oz bottle. That beats out MO's 8.5oz shampoo and conditioner at around $20 a bottle (as seen on their website). FYI: If you're finding it cheaper than that, be aware of a fake as they DO make faux "designer" shampoo/conditioner as well. In any case, I will be back to get this product over MO's! Definitely worth it!

These are all of the products that I absolutely A-D-O-R-E!  

     

L'oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray with UV Shield in Strong Hold - this hairspray has been my favorite for a couple of years and I honestly haven't used anything else! I don't know how we'll the UV shield works considering I have nothing to compare it to, but the hold is definitely strong and it doesn't leave a lot of build up after you use it. You can purchase this at Target.

Paul Mitchell SUN Collection Color Shield Protecting Spray - I use this everyday, without fail! Especially useful when you're at the beach or pool. It smooths your hair while protecting your strands! Love the way this spray smells - and don't be fooled by the bottle as it may be small but a little bit goes a long way! (You can purchase at ULTA)

L'Oreal EverStyles Energizing Shampoo - This is a 5star product, to me!! It's super cheap and works better than other expensive brands I've tried in the past, plus, it smells amazing! It can also be used as an instant volumizer on clean hair that needs a little lift. (Purchased at Target for around $4)

Salon Grafix Spray Powder Shampoo - This particular dry shampoo has brunette coloring in it which can help with fading and outgrown roots while adding a ton of volume, plus it lasts a long time, even with day-to-day use - love it!  (Purchased at ULTA for $8)

Straight Sexy Hair: Smooth & Protect Flat Iron Spray/Darn Straight Straightening and Polishing Lotion - I use these two together anytime I use them. I have MASSIVELY curly hair and I tend to straighten/blow dry my hair daily, so any sort of protection/smoothing system I can use, I DO! These products are very "light" feeling, but extremely effective! I personally believe that when I use both products, that they help tame my frizz with the humidity my hair has to deal with living on the East Coast.

Moroccan Oil Frizz Control - L-O-V-E this spray! A little bit goes a LONG way! I don't use this with the Sexy Straight Hair Darn Straight Lotion as I use the other Moroccan oil in its place as I really only use this spray if it's raining, THAT'S how good it works! As curly as my hair gets, I only need about 2-3 sprays on the bottom half of my hair and I can feel a HUGE difference after I blow dry. **Don't purchase this is you want a conditioning spray, as this is NOT. It gives more of a stiff feeling over anything else but it works WONDERS if you hate humidity as much as I do.

Moroccan Oil Treatment LIGHT - If you're looking for a type of smoothing system - BUY THIS! Your hair will smell amazing for forever and this stuff creates so much smoothness and shine, it's unbelievable! I use this almost daily on my ends.. Wonderful product! It's not the cheapest of products, but again, the TINIEST bit goes a long, LONG way! I buy the LIGHT version of the original but I personally think it works just as well as the original.

Makeup Favorites!

A few of my absolute favorites! I've been using most of these for months so I'd definitely say that these are my "go-to" regular picks!



From left to right:

1) Brushes are Sephora brushes which are super affordable plus they are great quality. I have had mine for almost a year and they barely shed and are still super thick, even after MANY washes!

2) NARS Orgasm blush - This blush is the perfect mix of peach and pink! It has a slight shimmer which adds a highlight to the apple of your cheeks. It will give you the most perfect summer-time glow!

3) MAC Mineralize SkinFinish Natural Powder - I use the shade "Light Plus" which is one of the lighter shades that MAC has in this powder. This powder alone covers and conceals better than any powder I've ever used. It matches my skin tone perfectly and it never looks or feels heavy, plus, it lasts all day.
How I apply: I like to swirl the Sephora brush in the powder and instead of swiping over my face, I like to just press it on my cheeks, forehead and chin/neck.

4) Smashbox Heatwave Palette- These colors are beyond perfect for summer and they are SUPER pigmented, but they can also be easily blended. If you're considering getting any palette for this summer, I'd definitely skip out on the NAKED palettes and go with this one. I actually prefer this over the Urban Decay NAKED2 eyeshadows right now.

5)Makeup Forever Bronzer - This bronzer is has a lot of functions; It can be used for contouring as well as bronzing. I use the shade Mat Bronze #20 from Sephora and I apply it with a fan brush which gives it a flawless-looking finish once applied. It has no shimmer and is completely matte; The color is not heavy at all.

6) Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream - This BB cream is better than any other foundation I have ever tried. It moisturizes, conceals, protects and soooo much more! You can't go wrong with this stuff - the only let down is that it's only 1oz tube but I'll continue to purchase it because it works THAT well!
