Penelope's Room Decor with a house update!

I. AM. SO. EXCITED!!!!!! We will FINALLY get to start packing up and moving into our home on January 31st - Less than a week away! Believe it or not, it has been exactly TWO years today (Jan. 25th) that we started the whole building process.
The past 2 years seem like a blur but thanks to having a baby, this last year has FLOWN by.... Thank y'all for putting up with my nonstop picture updates - Needless to say, we are way too excited for this!

I am even more excited to dive in and start decorating! This will basically be our very first home that I can customize COMPLETELY. I will definitely do posts about each room as we go along.. I plan to take it slow and try to tackle one room at a time. I also want to address the previous blog I did about Penelope's nursery... At the time, I had this vision of beautiful creamy-whites and a splash of grey here and there but when I went to buy all of the stuff (and thanks to Pinterest) I quickly realized that I may not have another baby girl and this could be my only shot at having all of the pink and pretty colors that I could imagine, SOO, I decided to go with all kinds of glam for her room. I bought all of her furniture and bedding from Restoration Hardware and I am REALLY happy with the quality of absolutely everything.
We purchased the Adele Crib, along with the Velvet bedding collection in the color DOVE. We painted her room in Melted Ice Cream by Benjamin Moore and the trim & crown molding were painted in Vanilla Milkshake by Benjamin Moore as well. I plan on adding soft-white, sheer curtains to the window and I HOPE that I'll come across the perfect amour when we go furniture shopping within the next few weeks in order to complete the entire space.
Here is everything we have so far, hopefully next week I'll be able to do an updated room blog once it's all complete.

This whole process has been so bittersweet because we never set up a real nursery due to us building the house but I'm looking at this with the glass half-full and I'm actually so happy that I had the extra time to decide on colors and was able to pick the perfect furniture to fulfill all of my ideas.
I can't wait to watch the transformation her room will undergo throughout the years... But
one step at a time because I'm definitely needing all the time possible to fully absorb every single stage! XO

Classic, Everyday bag! | Diaper bag edition

So after going through airports, riding in rentals and hauling an unimaginable amount of stuff, this bag helped us out the most through our travels! This is the [Classic Diaper Bag] from Pottery Barn Kids that I've had my eye on for FOREVER, even before I was pregnant with P but last Christmas, Devon surprised me with another diaper bag for so I was able to check that necessity off of my list - WELL.... I still ended up with it and I am soooooo glad I have it. This bag is gigantic. I mean, HUGE. Ginormous. You get the point. I thought my diaper bag held a lot? So wrong. But the best part?? This isn't JUST a diaper bag... This is literally an everything bag. From blankets, swaddles, bottles, formula, water bottles, shoes, outfits, magazines, P's iPad, and seriously, if we needed to carry it, it went straight into this piece of 'luggage'. And I use that term because it doubles as an overnight bag as well but it isn't insanely obnoxious. I've carried bigger style bags ever since I've carried a bag so this fit right into my life.
So Mamas, if you're in the diaper bag/overnight bag market and are looking for a really good, durable bag, THIS it is. You'll even get a changing pad with it that's really good size and matches with the color exterior.
Oh, and rolling around Disney for the ENTIRE day with this thing loaded up to the MAX, I can say with confidence that this bag is really durable and made really, really well! I don't see this falling apart anytime soon and it's so far, been money well spent!
